Lost and Found - Alert Alert Alert

Have you spent hours looking for something you were sure you just had with you? Well maybe you will find it in the growing pile of "found" objects in our Concierge area. Michael tells me that they have a number of objects including rings, watches, earrings, books, barbeque covers, a hula-hoop (!), bicycles, assorted items of clothing, swim goggles, among other things.

How to get them back -Quote from the concierge desk:

"If not claimed shortly they will be disposed of,
either by donating them to charity or having them picked up as garbage or for recycling. If a resident can give us a good description of their lost item, we will return it to them. From barbeque covers to swimming goggles, from watches to clothing, we have lots of "found" items here!"

Hey Michael- if no one claims the hula hoop send it my way- it will for sure improve my samba action!

Voting in Paradise

Took off early this morning to vote at the Roundhouse Community Centre to get an early start on the morning. But rushed as I was I could not resist stopping along the way both there and back to take some photos of Paradise in the early morning.

On my way back the workers were already busy in the Erickson high rise. I wonder how it will feel living within the building, with those slightly off-kilter pillars. Somewhat like living in a German Expressionist movie - inside The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.

It's going up fast - or slow depending on your perspective

Walking by the site of the new building you might think it's going up fairly quickly. But if you are waiting to move into the new tower, or weary of the dust that settles onto every surface in the vicinity, you might find that construction is proceeding at a snail's pace.

I find it fascinating to be able to look through the skeleton of a growing highrise and imagine the many interesting people that will come to live within these walls, each with a unique life story.

Will they form a social community as we have here, I wonder? What do you think?

Our First DWTS Poll results and Tonight in KL Theatre 7:15

Well our poll results are a sort of reminder about the fragility of life. Here are the results for who we thought would be in the last 5
Toni
Susan
Cody
Brooke
and Lance/Warren/Misty-May tied with 2 votes each

After last night we know Misty is out of the contest - its so sadly ironic that the one to be injured like that is an athlete and presumably one of the fittest of the bunch. That achilles tendon injury is awful and seems so unpredictable. Watching that awful footage- why do they always plays that sort of thing over and over- she did not even seem to place her foot wrongly. The thing just snapped. Anyway I wish her a quick and complete recovery. Injuries are so depressing as well as the physical aspects.

Remember to give me your secret ballots with your winner predictions tonight - this is the last chance!
